Do hire a patent lawyer to draw-up a Non-Disclosure Agreement if there is any aspect of your proprietary information you need to disclose to a Third Party

Do approach your invention as a business venture

Do consider and seek out professional and reputable researchers, manufactures and marketers to aid in the development of your invention

Do seek funding from, angel investors, venture capitalist, bank, family and friends to fund your venture

Do have faith in the Spirit of God’s creative abilities within you

Don't

X Don’t believe in the goodness of anyone not to steal your idea, whether brother, sister or deacon in the church

X Don’t let the year grace-period run out if you have publicized your invention prior to patent

X Don’t’ underestimate the power of networking with other like-minded professional

X Don’t underestimate the power of a great business and marketing plan

X Don’t forget to include tradeshows as a viable form of advertising, promoting and marketing

X Don't forget to ask God for guidance every step of the way
